Beaufort Bar

Beaufort Bar

5 Star Luxury Hotel near Covent Garden

Description

The Beaufort Bar provides a theatrical, art deco setting in which to enjoy cocktails that push the boundaries. The award-winning team have created a menu designed to intrigue and excite guests with each drink listed entirely unique to the Beaufort Bar. Character Cocktails, served in era-specific vintage glassware and garnished tableside, pay tribute to four of The Savoy’s most famous personalities, and The Impressionist, one of the Beaufort Bars most popular cocktails, arrives at the table with a smoking rose for that element of drama. For guests with more of a taste for champagne, the Beaufort Bar boasts an impressive selection of vintage and non-vintage champagne by the glass and bottle.
The bar itself stands on the hotel’s former cabaret stage, which was graced by such luminaries as Carol Gibbons, the Savoy Orpheans and George Gershwin. A tradition of live entertainment continues to this day with nightly performances by both renowned and up and coming talent, as well as monthly evenings of Cabaret and Burlesque.

Classy & Fantastic

We were made so welcome at the Beaufort Bar on our recent visit. We were celebrating my Nanas 85th Birthday and although she uses a wheelchair the lady who met us in the lobby first checked there was a table available in the bar and then escorted us through a corridor and lift and finally we arrived though a secret door in to the Beaufort Bar.

We had briefly mentioned why we were visiting and before we had even ordered our drinks a beautiful plate of delicate cakes arrived at our table, the smile of happiness on my Nanas face was just fantastic! We decided on Pink Champagne as this was a special occasion and the amazing staff were so attentive and friendly. The little bowls of nuts and olives were lovely too.

The room is very intimate even though it was busy and the décor is stunning.

Thank you for making our visit so special and memorable.

Absolute class

It’s like stepping back in time to a world where wait staff are super professional and you are treated like a king just ordering a cocktail in a pre-Prohibition bar. Excellent service and no drink is too much problem even if it’s just a soft drink. Endless supplies of olives & salted peanuts as well as as many drinks as you want until about 1am. A marvellous memory and not too bad a head the next morning!

What an experience, to relax in these stunning surrounds.

As per my review of the Savoy Hotel (separate review), we were very impressed with the friendliness and willingness of all staff to engage with us, whether in explaining the hotel's history, the bar's redesign, the care that had gone into the cocktail menu creation, or just passing the time of day. We were up front about the fact that we had literally walked in off the street to look around, and were warmly invited to sit down, enjoy the surrounds (and complementary nibbles), and only order if we wanted to. This was an experience to savour. My husband enjoyed one of their "Seal of Approval" cocktails and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there. Yes, the drinks are pricey, but the absolutely impeccable service and beautiful environment made it money well spent.
